About Us
Press Relief, the News Community Fund, was founded in 2003. It uses the influence of the Cambridge Evening News and all the other publications within the Cambridge Newspapers Limited group to raise cash for local organisations and individuals in need.So far, it has raised £350,000 and has awarded money to a whole range of groups and individuals within the greater Cambridge area.
What we hope to achieve by setting up the fund is to relieve poverty and advance the Education, Health and Social welfare of the people of Cambridgeshire.
This extends to people beyond the circulation area of the Cambridge Evening News (approximately 30 mile radius of Cambridge) and involves awarding grants, facilities or equipment with the object of improving your condition of life.
The joint efforts of community groups, local business, our own staff team and the community
at large with the newspaper acting as a stream for action has established an outline for future community support which we hope to continue for many years to come.
Press Relief hopes to build on this successful partnership.

The role of trustee is a voluntary one and we are grateful for the time that is given to benefit local people through our fund.
