Connections Bus Project
Another charity to benefit from Press Relief's generosity was the Connections Bus Project which has for more than 15 years been using a double-decker bus as a mobile youth club and information resource in rural villages with little or no youth provision. The young people in the seven villages currently served by the project have the opportunity to take part in recreational, craft and sport activities as well as make use of the literature on all kinds of issues.
Project manager Alan Webb said, "The Press Relief grant in 2007 was a valuable part of our income, dedicated particularly to the payment of youth worker wages".
